Evgenia Shapovalova and Natalia Matveeva won bronze medals in Liberec

At the cross-country World Cup stage in Liberec (CZE) team Russia sponsored by CRAFT Sportswear managed to win bronze medals in classic team sprint. Also this stage, that should have been a preview of next year World Ski championship, was marked by the lack of snow and poor tracks.
Russian Ski Team arrived in Liberec in four days before the first race, and there was no snow on the race track. That is why Russian Ski team had to train on tourist tracks higher in mountains. Such a preparation affected to team results – in the first race (12,5 and 7,5 free style individual) nobody from men’s team managed to finish in top-30 and only Olympic champion Evgenia Medvedeva showed 8th result in women’s race.
But in team sprint next day our team looked much better then day before. I women’s heats, where were only four stages instead of traditional six, Evgenia Shapovalova and Natalia Matveeva managed to get bronze medals, and men’s pare Vasilii Rochev – Andrei Parfenov stopped by only one step to the podium (4th place).
