Over then 250 people took part in Bitza half-marathon

Over then 250 people from different regions of Russia took part in traditional Bitza half-marathon running event, which opened running competition season in Bitza (Moscow). Absolute winners became Elena Paramonova and Ravil Zaripov, among children – Natalia and Igor Melnikovs.

Despite it was raining hard in the morning a lot of people came to Bitza to start in the race. But when competitors were on the start line, sun shined brightly in the clear sky. However the track of 21-kilometer distance was really tough and slippery. Narrow ground pathes of it became a real challenge for every runner, up- and downhills became quite dangerous. In the women’s race Elena Paramonova was about two minutes ahead of Anastasia Vshivceva, who came second. Ravil Zaripov was the fastest in men’s finish battle and beat Oleg Boldyrev. Thirds were Polina Eschenko and Vladimir Sidorov.

In the competition sponsored by CRAFT Sportswear took part 272 sportsmen from 11 regions of Russia. At the finish organizers were very glad to see runner from Lithuania, who made the race international.
