Last weekend, 26-27 of April, in Lytkarino, Moscow region, took place hugest orienteering competitions in Russia Moscow Compass-2008 sponsored by CRAFT Sportswear. In these competition took part about 2800 sportsmen of different ages.
The battle for the main prizes raged among sportsmen in elite groups. At the first day sportsmen had to compete in one man relay distance with two laps. Between laps they should overpass labyrinth and if they made a mistake, then penalty lap waited for them. The fastest woman of the first day became Tatiana Jaksanova, who managed to defeat Tatiana Kozlova and Ekaterina Terekhova. Best in mens class was Eugeniy Krasnojarov, second was Vadim Tolstopjatov, third Dmitriy Tsvetkov.
Winners of the second day individual distance, that also contained two laps, were Tatiana Kozlova and Dmitriy Tsvetkov, who were on the podium but didnt manage to win at the first day. Second and third became Danila Sokolov and Andrey Morozov in mens class and Tatiana Jaksanova and Svetlana Mironova in womens one.
