Rogaining winners

At the 1st of May around Frjazino (Moscow region) took place orienteering and rogaining competitions named CRAFT Cup. In competitions took part best orienters as well as long distance rogain specialists, whom was offered four- and eighthour long distance.

Due to excellent prizes from CRAFT Sportswear a lot of strong competitors visited Frjazino to challenge. In men’s orienteering the winner was junior world champion Alexei Bortnik from Moscow, who was ahead of Maxim Rjabkin and Egor Kostylev. In women’s race junior world champion Tatiana Gribanova (Kostyleva) and Aleftina Marycheva (both from Frjazino) took 2nd and 3rd places behind Julia Rasstegaeva from Vladimir. A lot of prizes also went to the young winners of age groups.

But the main event surely was rogaining – multihour orienteering competitions. Competitors had to run the forest circle around the town and get maximum points visiting the controls. Among the competitors were not only orienters bur cross-country skiers, multiracers and tourists. But in the fourhour long rogaining winner was nevertheless orienter – Eugeni Gavrilov from Moscow for a long time was a member of Russian national team and took part in world and European championships. In eighthour long class winner were pair from Riazan Ivanov-Bushuev, who overpassed the distance faster then 7 hours. However second and third places went to well-known multiracers Pavel Sysoev and Alexandra Kuzmina from Nike-ACG team and Igor Klimov and Anna Burlinova from Arena-CRAFT.

Near the finish field kitchen waited for competitors with hot tea and buckwheat, excellent prizes from CRAFT and perfect mood also waited for them.
