Big Swedish Success in Gällivare
Kategorie: Global NewsThe FIS Cross Country Skiing season started this weekend in Gällivare, SWE, and with two wins and two runners up positions the Swedish National Team started the season in the best possible way.
Markus Hellner won the men’s 15 km race ahead of Dario Cologna, SUI. Daniel Rikardsson, claimed the third place. In the women’s 10 km race no one could beat Marit Björgen from Norway this day but first runner up was Charlotte Kalla how proved to be in as good shape as last season.
The big success from Saturday was then follow up by another win in Sundays relay were the Swedish men’s team out sprinted Russia to win the first relay of the season. The Swedish women also performed a great race and finished in second place.
